Happy first day of fall everyone!

Sometimes I feel like time is seriously getting away from me. I mean wasn’t it just the beginning of summer. The season of tan lines, the smell of sunscreen, and the taste of barbecue. Although I still feel like my brain is mourning the idea of loosing the sun on my skin, but there truly isn’t anything better then sweater and scarf season.
This season also brings an excitement and personal reflection for me. I’m looking forward to drink more tea, spend time with family, wear cute outfits and create fun family traditions. It also is a time of true observation of how my year has gone and the bountiful blessings I have received throughout it.  It reminds me to not be focused on myself and truly start thinking about those around me. The season of giving is truly upon us. How will you spend it?
As the season for rich tones begins, I could not help reminisce on these wonderfully moody portraits of my dear friend. This sweet woman has been so fun to get to know over the past year and a half and I am so grateful our paths crossed while we both studied photography. I find these images as a beautiful reminder that being vulnerable is one of the most rewarding and most magnificent forms of expression.
